Vernon Jay Hunt, Jr.

Vernon Jay Hunt, 73, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born in New Haven, CT to the late Eva Hunt (Sokol) and Vernon Irving Hunt. He owned and operated Hunt Printing LLC in Hamden, CT for over 12 years. He enjoyed swimming, spending time with friends and family, and watching the New York Giants play every Sunday. Jay was well known for his kindness and willingness to help others in time of need, no matter the circumstances. Often the life of the party, he is remembered for his charisma, jokes, and stories. Jay is survived by his wife Wendi A. Hunt, his loving children, Ashley E. Ragusa and her husband William of Westfield and his son Sam E. Hunt of Middletown, CT, a sister Barbara Hunt of Hamden, CT and his three cherished grandchildren Auron, Silas, and Raiden. Sadly he was predeceased by a son, Matthew Hunt in 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 31,2022 at 3PM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA.
