Veryl E. (Monson) OBerdiek Obituary
Veryl Oberdiek of Westfield Massachusetts passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. She was surrounded by her family. She was a mother, grandmother and great- grandmother along with being a great friend. Veryl found joy in everything she did. She was always finding the positive and felt every day was a gift. Her favorite channel was The Hallmark channel and watched many of them over and over. She enjoyed her life at Armbrook Village and could not say enough about how great it was. Veryl was almost there 10 years. Her goal was to reach 100 years old. Veryl was originally married to Del Byrnes who passed away in 1995. After that she married Carl Oberdiek who passed away in 2010. Veryl retired from being an Aid in Special Education in Sterling Hts Michigan. She is survived by her son, Kevin Byrnes and his wife Linda; along with her daughter, Karen Bannish & husband Mike. She is also survived by her cherished seven grandchildren: Brad, Lauren, Karlye, Candace, Jenna, Don & Christine. Veryl also was proud of having five great-grandchildren: Blake, Brooke, Juniper, Ben & Cade. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 11 at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
