Walter R Hansen

Walter R. “Wally” Hansen, 69, passed away peacefully at Williamstown Commons Nursing Home on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born in Westfield to the late Walter and Dorothy (Fox) Hansen and was a graduate of Southwick High School. Wally used to ride clean up during motorcycle enduros/ trials with his dad and Brent, riding road bikes with Jimmy, going to watch wrestling and watching the boat launch at Congamond Pond with his mom. Wally loved the holidays, often dressing up in character for family events. He was employed at Plainville Casting of Westfield, Digital Corp of Westfield and 20 plus years for Strathmore Paper in Woronoco, MA. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Dorothy and a brother Jeffrey E. Hansen, and he is survived by a brother Wayne M. Hansen of Southwick, sister-in-law Lynn Hansen, niece Jennifer Hansen of Adams, MA, nephew, Parker Hansen of Southwick and family and friends, Linda Cooper and son Bruce Cooper of Southwick, John Sullivan of Southwick and Uncle Pudgy and many cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10-11AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield with a Funeral Home Service at 11AM in the funeral home.
