William F. Carroll, Jr. Obituary

William F. Carroll, Jr. 88, passed away at Holyoke Medical Center with his 4 children at his side. He was born in Westfield, MA to the late Alba (Pais) and William F. Carroll, Sr. and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Westfield. Bill served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959- 1962 and was transferred to Barnes Air National Guard Base where he worked for base supply as a Senior Master Sergeant until his retirement in 1993. His greatest love outside of his family was camping in Vermont. He was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. Sadly, Bill was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Madeline E. (Nemec) Carroll, his siblings, Richard, Walter and Joyce and a grandson Billy Lea. He is survived by his loving children, Joanne Nichols and her husband Keith of East Longmeadow, Janice Lea and her husband Bill of West Springfield, Anne Iserman and her husband David of Westfield and Bill Carroll and his wife Cassie of Mobile, Alabama, and their mother, Joan Carroll who predeceased them. Bill also leaves a brother Robert Carroll and his wife Barbara of South Carolina, nine grandchildren Joseph, Michelle, Shannon, Andrew, Olivia, Jacob, Ian, Phoenix and David, ten great grandchildren and his companion Jackie Conklin of Westfield. Funeral Services for Bill will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 9:45AM in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by Burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7PM in the funeral home.  www.firtionadams.com
