William P Mitnik Jr.

WESTFIELD - William P. (Bill) Mitnik Jr. Son of Barbara (Adkins) and William P. Mitnik Sr., (both predeceased). He was born in Hartford, CT on October 31st, 1941. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1959. He attended two years of Business Administration College and soon opened his own business. Building upon his experience as a hot-rodder, Bill operated gas stations, garages and maintained truck fleets for many years. He taught truck mechanics all over New England operating as Mitnik Fleet Services. Even in his 70’s, he was employed at Edgewood Golf Course in Southwick. Bill earned a Certificate from the University of Science and Philosophy and a Doctor of Divinity from the Church of the Universal Light. Bill wrote several books, played music, and created various pieces of art. He became an active member of the Fellowship of the Spirit in 1979. You probably met Bill at one of the many meetings in the area. Bill leaves one son, Justin M. Mitnik, of Anaheim, a sister, Elizabeth (Betsy) Doriss of W. Barnstable, and a brother, Robert I. (Bob) Mitnik of Poultney, VT. Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 23rd from 1:00-4:00 at Firtion Adams in Westfield.
