William “Bill” Charles McCloud

William “Bill” McCloud, 81, passed away on December 19, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on March 23, 1943 in Greenfield to the late Wallace and Jane (Adams) McCloud. Bill graduated from Arms Academy in 1961. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965. Bill went on to work for AT&T for over 35years as a communications technician. He was a car enthusiast, from racing to restoring. Bill was an avid card player playing pitch and poker with his friends at Liberty Manor. He was also an avid collector of everything, from car parts, to screw drivers to tape measures. Bill had a great sense of humor and was happiest when his family surrounded him, including granddogs.  He also considered his many friends as family.  Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Ruth (Rattigan) McCloud of Westfield. His children Matthew McCloud and Fiancé Madeline Touma of West Springfield, Patrick and wife Wendy McCloud of Enfield CT, Brendan McCloud of Eugene OR, David McCloud of Roslindale, and daughter Ellen Boyle and husband Jim of Southampton. He also leaves his grandchildren Ryan and Julia McCloud and Jack Boyle. Bill also leaves his brother John McCloud and his wife Karen of Peru NY. Bill is predeceased by his granddaughter Jessica Boyle. Calling hours for Bill will be held on Thursday, December 26 from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. His burial with full Military Honors will follow at 1PM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam.
