Yvette M (Lemire) Carmel

Westfield - Yvette M. (Lemire) Carmel, 76, passed away at home on Sunday, August 27, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield to the late Euclid Lemire and Theresa Laporte Lemire and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She was a hairstylist and a mini bus driver for some years and enjoyed being home with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed her animals and feeding the birds and horseback riding. She is survived by her husband James A Carmel and their children Laurie Lafreniere and her husband Chris Lafreniere of Suffield CT, Louis Carmel of Westfield, and John Carmel of Westfield and her grandchildren Daniel, David, and Derik Lafreniere of Suffield CT and Theresa, and David Carmel of Southick MA and John Carmel and his wife Allaina Carmel of Westfield. Two great grandchildren Anna and Olivia Carmel of Southwick grandma’s favorite little Angels. She leaves her sister Pauline Carmel and her husband George of Westfield and her sister Jeannette Champiney and her husband Harold of New York many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 7th, 2023 from 11 am-1pm at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street in Westfield. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm. The burial will be at the Mass. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam MA at 2 pm. A small get together will be held from 230 pm - 5pm at the VFW 972 Sheldon St. West Suffield Ct 06093.
