I was lucky enough to know John through the Soldier's Home and enjoyed his stories about this time in the service and his family. He was a wonderful man; and it was an honor to know him. Praying for John and his family.

Westfield Trade School, Westfield Trade High School, Westfield Vocational High School and Westfield Vocational Technical High School has lost one of its great teachers, co op coordinators and mentor to many. John was a friend and mentor to me. He was instrumental and encouraging in getting me into teaching. John was a compassionate man as well as a wealth of knowledge on the history of the voc/tech school in Westfield. I saw John back in April at the soldier home in Holyoke and his memory was still sharp as ever. I will cherish our many meetings at 5:30 am in the main office where I got to really know John and learned much about our school. I will miss him dearly.
