Mary and family, I just found out that Russ passed away. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know that the Good Lord has a VERY special place reserved for Russ. He will be the most entertaining angle to ever soar the heavens. We first met Russ and Mary when we moved into Colonial Pine Acres in the mid 60s. He was perhaps the "coolest" person I had, then, and have since, ever met. As a military retiree and Viet Nam vet I was unaware of Russ' service during Korea. Only he would be inventive enough to mix grenades and rocks and toss them to knock the enemy off balance. Given what he did I am uncertain that a Silver Star is sufficient for his gallantry. He always took great care of us as kids when we needed something and together you all had perhaps the greatest customer fan base of any business in America. You all also gave many kids a break by giving them places to work. I cannot say enough about what an honor it was to know Russ and Mary, please accepts my heartfelt gratitude to you both and sympathy on Russ' passing. A greater man may never cross our paths again. Best to you and the family and know you will always be in our prayers.
