Anna Rheaume

Chester-Anna (Lopresto) Rheaume, 95, died Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. She was born in Chester, MA on May 25, 1923 to the late Vincenzo and Bambina (Sebastiano) Lopresto. She grew up in Chester and was a waitress at several local restaurants. She also worked at G.E. in Pittsfield. Anna was a homemaker for many years and enjoyed taking care of family. She loved cooking, baking, knitting and collecting tea cups. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Parish. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 68 years William Rheaume in 2010. She leaves her daughters Beverly Garceau and her husband David of Winter Haven, FL and Donna Alfonso and her husband Joseph of Georgia. She also leaves her grandchildren Cherie Alfonso, Jeanne Williams and Leeann Rheaume, 5 great-grandchildren, and her sister Mary Delasandro of Chester. She was pre-deceased by her son William F. Rheaume and her grandson Joseph Alfonso. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 5th from 9-10 am at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. The funeral will be held in Holy Family Parish in Russell at 11 am. Burial will be held in the spring in St. Thomas Cemetery in Huntington.
