Helen L. (Thompson) Goodreau

Helen L. (Thompson) Goodreau, 88, passed away at home on January 14, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine to the late Lamont J. and Mary E. (Sweeney) Thompson. She worked for many years for New England Telephone as a supervisor. Helen was a longtime communicant of St. Peter’s and St. Casmir’s Church in Westfield. She enjoyed Bingo, computer games, shopping for that bargain, going to tag sales, couponing and birdwatching with Clem. Helen heroically fought a long battle with cancer for many years. Helen is survived by her beloved husband, Clement T. Goodreau, her loving children, Peter J. Goodreau and his wife, Lori of Holland, MA, Mark J. Goodreau and his wife Tina of Westfield, Mary L. Crockett and her husband David of Westfield, Beth A. Goodreau of Chicopee and Tricia J. Goodreau and her partner Shannon Leyden of Westfield and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Thursday meeting directly at St. Peter’s/ St. Casmir’s Church, 34 State St. Westfield for an 11AM Mass.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-6PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield. Please honor Helen’s wish and wear something purple to her funeral to show your support against cancer.
