Mary Ellen (Bryant) Brockmeyer

Mary Ellen (Bryant) Brockmeyer, 70, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Westfield Center.  She was born in Niskayuna, NY to the late Eugene D. and Janet Mae (Dietz) Bryant. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from Westfield State University and attended the graduate program at Western New England University.  She had a passion for learning and studied many different areas of interest including law, psychology and business. Mary Ellen worked as a computer programming specialist for Phoenix Insurance Company and Mass Mutual.  She enjoyed photography, travelling, gardening, cooking, sailing and other outdoor activities.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilfried Brockmeyer and is survived by her brothers; Ray Bryant of Leeds and James Bryant of Springfield, in addition to several nieces; Karianne, Kim, Brianna, Erica and Samantha and a nephew Michael, as well as several grandnieces & grand nephews.  She also leaves many loving extended family members and friends. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 12 noon in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Western Ave. Westfield.  Visiting hours will precede the service from 11-12noon. www.firtionadams.com
