Sandra Ann (Woolley) Shepard passed away September 14, 2019. She was born in Springfield, MA on November 12, 1942 to Alga (James) and Stuart Woolley, and raised by her mother and loving stepfather, Stanley Livingston. She graduated from Huntington High School, and then started a family. After she was divorced, she worked for a while at Columbia Manufacturing Company before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. After her discharge, she graduated from Holyoke Community College and University of Hartford, before embarking on a career in human resources management at companies including Robertshaw Controls Company and Power Systems, Inc. Known as "Sas" to her family, she was a lifelong lover of animals, especially cats, and she loved knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She is survived by her longtime partner, John Laseter of Manchester, CT; her sons, Lance Shepard and his wife Linda, of Richmond, NH, and Rylan Shepard and his wife Elizabeth, of Blandford, MA; her sisters, Karen Howe of Anderson, SC and Kathy Livingston of Richmond, NH; her grandchildren, Sydney, Seth, and Livia Shepard, Michelle MacDonald and Christopher Guows; three nephews; and two nieces. She was predeceased by Alga, Stanley, her daughter, Belle Shepard, and her brother Michael Livingston. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 22 from 10:00 am until noon at Firtion-Adams Funeral Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, MA, with a celebration of her life immediately following.
