Sharon Ann Samol passed away peacefully this week surrounded by loving family and friends. Sharon was born June 2, 1948 in Westfield, Massachusetts to Ruby and Thomas Mulvenna of Westfield. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary’s church in Westfield, a 1966 graduate of Westfield High School, a 1968 graduate of Northampton Commercial College, and a 40-year employee of Noble Hospital in Westfield spending most of that time in the emergency room. Sharon lived life with passion for her home, family, and friends. She was a creative and imaginative designer, collector, and decorator who loved gardening in her yard, walking around the neighborhood, and summers on Cape Cod. Sharon was a sweet and selfless soul cherished by many. She is survived by her beloved husband Don Samol (Westfield); sons John (Holly) O’Connor of Mohegan Lake, New York and Matt (Julie) O’Connor of Midland, Michigan; stepson Donald Samol Jr. of Somers, Connecticut; two grandsons, Ronan O’Connor and Airious Samol; and one sister, Theresa (Terrence) Crockett of Westfield. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 11:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Highway, West Springfield. A Visiting hour will be prior to the Mass from 10-11 AM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085.
