Carol E. (Knox) Burns

Carol E. (Knox) Burns, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Western Mass Hospital. She was born in Westfield to the late A. Glenn and Marilyn R. (Earhart) Knox. Carol was a 1976 graduate of Gateway High School and received her Bachelors of Education from Endicott College in 1981. She worked for many years in the admitting office at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield. Carol is survived by her children, Meghan I. Burns of Southwick, Matthew J. Burns and his wife Katie Faust-Burns of Westfield and Ashley R. Burns of Holyoke, her brother John C. Knox and his wife AnnMarie of Huntington, her sister Sharon Knox-Hutchinson of Boston and her grandchildren, Alexis Puza, Patrick Burns, Kenzie Burns, Robert Burns, and Jack Doyle. She also leaves her lifelong best friend Linda Kuta of Westfield and Laura Stoops of Huntington. Carol’s family would like to thank the staff at Western Mass Hospital for the care and support given to her over the last two years. Visiting hours for Carol will be held on Monday from 5-8PM in the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. Burial will be private.
