Elizabeth J. (Morris) Franklin

Elizabeth J. Franklin, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Genesis Westfield Center. She was born in Westfield to the late Peter J. and Rose I. (Oleksak) Morris. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Marie (Morris) Kalwa. She was a 1955 graduate of Westfield High School Business Courses. She worked for Michino’s Bakery, PBX Telephone as an operator and clerk, for Super Finast as a bakery clerk and Ed Moriarty Family Shoes. She was employed as the clerk in the Collectors, Treasurer, Clerks office for the Town of Southwick from 1983-1985 and retired from the City of Westfield Tax Collector's Office. In 1967, she was co-founder with children's parents at Willie Ross School for the Deaf. She enjoyed her  sewing, traveling, flower gardening, & family gatherings  Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, James T. Franklin of Granville, David N. Franklin and his wife Donna of Granville, Richard A. Franklin and his wife Kathy of Bradford, VT and Judy A. Franklin of Cromwell, CT, her cherished five grandchildren, Karen Christensen and her husband Evan, Chad and his companion Cathy, Andrea and her partner Chelsea, Daniel and his wife Brittany ,  and Brandon, and two great grandchildren, Hailey and Andrew Christensen. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 12 noon in the Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the service from 10 AM-12PM in the funeral home.
