Elizabeth A (Hampton) Neylon

Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Neylon, passed away peacefully at home in Westfield on November 12th, 2021, after a long illness.  She was a lifelong resident of Westfield, Massachusetts, enjoying time away at both West Yarmouth, Massachusetts and Marco Island and Isle of Capri, Florida.  She was 73 years old.

Betty was born June 5, 1948, in Westfield, Massachusetts to Audrey Joan Hampton and William Marshall Hampton. She attended Westfield High School taking classes in business administration and won a stenography award.  She co-owned and worked at Industrial Technical Services in Westfield as the secretary/treasurer of the company.  In addition, she worked as a travel agent for Carroll Travel and enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.  Favorite destinations were Mexico, The Caribbean and Bermuda She was an active member of the Elk’s Club in Westfield, and she and her boyfriend, Darrell Zofcin were active in the American Legion in Westfield. She also enjoyed gardening and could often be found weeding her flowerbeds. 

She is survived by her brothers, William Hamptonand Scott Hampton and his wife Susan Hampton, and was pre-deceased by her brother RobertHampton. She leaves her four children and their spouses: Erica and Douglas Jones, Kurt and Jennifer Neylon, Colin and Holly Neylon, and Brendan Neylon, and eight grandchildren: SydneyNeylon, Paige Neylon, Clarisse Jones, Abe Neylon, Sarah Neylon, Connor Jones, Aydan Neylon, and Ethan Neylon.  She was predeceased by her son, Kyle Neylon, who died in infancy. She also leaves her nephews and nieces, Bryan Hampton, Paul Hampton, Kimberly Weaver, Shawn Weaver, James Hampton, and Courtney Hampton and their families.

Calling hours are at Firtion Adams funeral service Thursday 11/18 from 4pm to 7pm. The funeral will be at Wyben Union Church on Friday 11/19 at 10 am followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Www.firtionadams.com
