Hugh McBride Obituary

Hugh McBride passed away peacefully in his home on December 28, 2020. A life-long resident of Feeding Hills MA, Hugh lived on his childhood property. Hugh served in the United States Coast Guard and was proud of his service for his country. Hugh worked for and retired from the telephone company. In his retirement he worked for the Big E. He was involved in Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Western Massachusetts Master Gardeners and enjoyed watching baseball. Hugh leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Lydia (Suro) McBride. He also leaves his son Bryan and his wife Jessica McBride of Westfield, his granddaughters Annalyse and Ciara McBride, his grandsons Michael Alabayad and Andrew LaBombard, his nephew Ronald McBride and neices Susan McBride and Kerry Ryan. Hugh was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lily (McSheffrey) McBride and three brothers Joseph, Robert and Martin McBride also a nephew Matthew McBride. The services will be held at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield on Tuesday January 5, 2021. Calling hours from 10:30am till 12 noon. A service will follow at 12 noon with a burial to follow at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Dana Farber or Shriner's hospital.
