Joanne Noreen (Yourous) Yourous

Joanne N. Yourous, 61, passed away at Baystate Medical Center on Friday, January 3, 2020. She was born in Springfield to the late John and Norma (Battistoni) Yourous. Joanne drove a school bus for 30 years, in Granby, CT, Westfield and the hill towns. She loved animals, especially her dog Babe and her cat, Razzle. Joanne loved music, was a drummer and singer, was a member of the choir at St. Peter/ St. Casmir’s Parish and loved to draw and sketch. Joanne is survived by her best friend and caregiver, Rosemary Swochak of Southwick, her sisters, Marianne Anderzak and her husband Thomas of Dearborn, Michigan, Bette Blanchard of Southwick, Barbara Bowen of Granby, CT, Lucille del Campo and her husband Richard of Granby, CT, Jack Yourous with Kim Rood of Southwick, sister-in-law Karen Yourous, friends Stephen Swochak and his wife Julie and Frederick Swochak and his wife Keiko. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas Yourous. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11AM in St. Peter/St. Casmir’s Parish, 34 State St. Westfield.
