Westfield-Lucille J. (Begin) Steben, 86, died Thursday, July 12, 2018 in a local nursing home. She was born on December 13, 1931 in Coaticook, Canada to the late Camille and Leophile (Cloutier) Begin. She attended local schools in Canada, spent some time in Monson and spent most of her life in Westfield. She married her husband Joseph Steben in 1949. She leaves her son Bernard A. Steben of Westfield, her daughter Doreen A. Wiesner of Palmer, her brothers and sisters Raymond Begin of E. Douglas, Jean Baker of Westfield, Jeanille Bonenfant of Westfield, Giselle Crosier of West Springfield, Pauline Green of E. Ryegate, VT, Lorraine McPherson, Diane Whittaker and Carmine Davis all of E. Douglas and Helen Reardon of Tenn. Lucille also leaves 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Steben in 2001, her son Richard D. Steben in 1998, and by her 5 brothers and 1 sister. Lucille was able to live at home for the past several years with the help of Debra Stebens. The funeral and burial will be private.
