Robert C. Blanchard

Robert C. Blanchard, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023 at home. He was born in Westfield to the late Charles and Marion (Dorrington) Blanchard. Robert worked as a quality engineer in the computer and aerospace industry, working for Digital for over 20 years and for Colt Firearms and Precision Manufacturing. He enjoyed reading, cars, and sharing his vast knowledge about various subjects. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and his dogs. He loved watching his sons play baseball and rarely missed a game.  He would look forward to watching the Little League World Series every year long after they were done playing. He also never missed a UConn Women's basketball game. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Sharon B. (Harris) Blanchard of Westfield, his two loving sons, Scott R. Blanchard and his wife Abigail of N. Granby, CT and Stephen C. Blanchard and his wife Kristin of Granby, CT, his brother Richard Blanchard and his wife Beverly of Westfield, his cherished grandchildren, Owen, Lydia, Phoebe, Deighton and Arlo.
