Robert E Nesin

Robert “Bob” Earle Nesin died at his home in Westfield, Mass. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  Born on March 31, 1944 to Helen (Mikuski) and Asher Nesin, Bob was a graduate of Westfield High School.  He attended Western New England College and proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard.

Bob was a longtime president of Micro Abrasives Corporation and an active member of the Unified Abrasives Manufacturer’s Association.  From Southampton Road, Micro Abrasive’s products are used by industries across the globe. 

A lifelong resident of Westfield, Bob was a dedicated supporter and member of many local civic organizations including the Rotary Club of Westfield and the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce.

Bob was a communicant of St. Peter & St. Casimir Parish since 1970, and will be remembered by all who knew him for his integrity, strength of character, generosity and kindness.

Bob leaves his loving wife of 50 years, Kathleen (Martin) and his sons Benjamin Robert Nesin and Jonathan Martin Nesin.  He is survived by his brothers-in-law and their wives: George W. and Dorothy Martin; John F. and Elena Martin; and Kenneth C. and the late Candice Martin.  “Uncle Bob” leaves his dear nieces and nephews and their spouses: Michael and Cindy Kolendo; Timothy Kolendo; Laurie (Martin) and David Cecchi; Michael Martin; Jesse Martin; Sarah Teal (Martin) and Jim Wood; Nathaniel and Kimberly Martin; Zachary and Rachel Martin and several special grand-nieces and nephews.  Bob was predeceased by his parents and his sister Judith Ann and her husband Michael Kolendo.

At the request of the family, services and burial will be private.
