Robert L. Rea

Robert Laird Rea, 93, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in New Haven, CT to the late John and Jessie (Laird) Rea and attended Rochester Polytechnic Institute. Bob worked for Stevens Paper Mill for 30 years and retired as the Vice President of the Engineering Department. He then went to work for Air Compressor Engineering in sales for 15 years. Bob loved to play golf and shot a hole in one while playing in Florida, he also enjoyed bowling in leagues, he enjoyed traveling, especially to Cape Cod, and was a very talented leatherworker, making beautiful pocketbooks. He was also a 60 year member of Mt. Moriah Lodge of Masons. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Elizabeth (Critcher) Rea of Westfield and his loving daughter Lynn E. Rea of Westfield. A Private graveside service will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements are under the direction of the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085. www.firtionadams.com
