Shannon L. (Sullivan) Furioni

Shannon (Sullivan) Furioni 51, passed away on April 12th surrounded by family and friends after a 20 month courageous battle with leiomyosarcoma. Shannon was born on July 24, 1970 in Westfield, Ma, the daughter of Janet (Karella) and David Sullivan. Shannon’s love of children is what inspired her to be a nanny and also a teacher at TenderCare. Shannon had a love for the outdoors and loved spending time at her cabin in Vermont. There she would enjoy going on hikes, bike rides or sitting by the campfire. Shannon always looked forward to spending time at the Cape with her family that included aunts, uncles and cousins. This family tradition continued for 50 plus years. Shannon also enjoyed her time spent walking the beach in Wells, Maine.

Shannon leaves her husband of 23 years, Robert Furioni and her dog Toby, both of Westfield, MA. Her parents David and Janet Sullivan, her brother Seth all of who reside in Westfield. She also leaves many sister and brother in laws, nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

The funeral mass for Shannon will be held on Thursday April 21, 2022 at 10:30AM in St. Mary’s Church, Westfield. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
