Sheila A (Zewski) Salvini

Sheila A. Salvini, 81, of Westfield, MA passed away on Tuesday, March 19th at Baystate Medical Center. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Sheila was born in Northampton, MA on July 31, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne Zewski. She grew up in Northampton, then moved to West Springfield as an adolescent, where she graduated from West Springfield High School. It was after high school that she met her late husband James Salvini, the love of her life. They were married in 1965 and moved to Westfield, MA where they put down roots and raised their two children. Sheila shared 53 years with James and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Although Sheila had a few different jobs throughout her life, her primary commitment was to provide a “home” for her family, and that is exactly what she did. As a stay-at-home mother, she was able to supply love, support and a sense of security to her family. Sheila always had a love for fun times whether it was dancing, where she met James, camping, picnicking, cross-country skiing or vacationing at Cape Cod or in Maine – she enjoyed sharing these experiences with her family. Her patient ways, generous heart, and hard work in the home, allowed her family to have success outside the home. Sheila is now at peace with her late husband James, and together they will watch over their son James of Westfield, their daughter Lori Doyle and her husband Jim, and their two beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Isabella of Southwick, MA. Sheila is pre-deceased by her sister Joanne Goede and leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to gather on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 4-7 PM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 11:30 AM with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield, MA. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
