I just learned of Hazel's passing. I had the pleasure and honor of working and being friends with both Hazel and Buzzy wile they worked at Westfield State. They always came to work with smiles on their faces and strove to help students and staff. Their commitments to civic and religious groups in Westfield were well known as well as their commitments to their family. Both Hazel and Buzzy will be missed but their memories will live on.
I wish all of the family my deepest condolences.

It's a sad day hearing about the loss of Hazel. I met Hazel in 1994 when I started working at Westfield State University. I had an immediate connection with Hazel
and then we found out that we shared the same birthday. She was a warm hearted person and will be missed.
Rest in Peace Birthday Buddy.

So sorry to hear about Hazel. She was a friend and co-worker. We shared many interests and enjoyed the five years we worked together in Athletics and visiting each other afterwards. Hazel and Buzz were very special and my best wishes to the family!

I will always cherish my memories of my high school year at the Stevens home in 1985-86. Hazel was a caring, hard working mother who put her family first and always was there to support when I needed her help. She was a fantastic person and gave so much love to all her children, including myself, during that year with the Stevens. Lots of Love from Susanne/ Sweden

With much sadness I write this note. Hazel touched my life more than you can imagine. She always showed her support for my efforts at the college. I viewed her as a friend and a great co worker. She will be missed, she often came to the rescue when I needed help. Sincerely Jerry Gravel
