James F. is a past Master of Mount Moriah Lodge A.F.& A.M. and a member of Melha Shrine, he was also past President of the Westfield Valley Shrine Club. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Westfield Rotary Club.

James R. is a member of St. Mary's Parish, and also a former at large City Councilor serving for ten years. Additionally, James is a former board member of the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Organization, former board member and volunteer for Westfield Little League, former board member and president of Amelia Park Ice Arena and former board member of the Westfield Boys and Girls Club. He is a member of the Sons of Erin and Westfield/ West Springfield Elks Club #1481.

Firtion-Adams Funeral Service is pleased to announce the recent addition of Joshua James Adams to their professional staff. Joshua is the fifth generation of funeral directors in the Adams family. Josh obtained his Massachusetts professional license in Funeral Directing and Embalming on September 17, 2019. He graduated from Goodwin College with a degree in Funeral Service in May of 2019. Josh was born and raised in Westfield, MA and graduated from Westfield High School in 2017. He is a volunteer for Westfield Youth Hockey and is a member of NIHOA as a High School and NCAA College Ice Hockey Official in the Western Mass area. Josh is also a member of the St. Mary's Parish School Board and the Amelia Park Ice Arena Board of Trustees.

Scott was born in Springfield and raised in West Springfield. He's a 1992 graduate of West Springfield High School. Scott served in the Army Reserve and Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1991-1999. Scott is a 1999 graduate of Briarwood College in Southington, CT with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Westfield/West Springfield Lodge of Elks #1481.

Jill joined the business in the fall of 1996 as our Coordinator of Grief Support Services. She developed and implemented a grief support program, established a lending library, and provides ongoing support and counseling services for individuals, families, and the community. Jill graduated with Distinction from the University of Maine, Orono with a B.A. in Social Work and obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Smith College. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Jill facilitates a grief support program for children ages 5-18 in many of the area schools in Westfield, Agawam, and Southwick. She has 19 years of experience providing individual, group, and family counseling to people affected by loss. She provides community educational programs on various topics related to grief and loss.
